    Trying to decide if we have 2 hens and 1 roo, or 2 roos and 1 hen. The one looks like our older hen, but the tail feathers say roo.

    MASSIVE egg!

    I’ve been getting those a lot lately. Actually had to find a jumbo sized egg carton to hold them. Got something like 15 one week!

    After nearly three years I find out my rooster is a hen! (Questions and concerns!)

    You may have eaten that egg by now, but when one of my girls got bumblefoot, the vet told me to toss any eggs she laid. Once she was off the antibiotics, the eggs were fine to eat.

    swollen foot

    One of my blue sapphires has a swollen foot. I haven't managed a great photo yet. Anyone have any idea what's wrong? Can't afford to take her to the vet. It's not the band, as that just slides on her leg!

    Her legs aren't just thick, they are yellow and green. Haven't seen any other chicken with that color of legs.

    A friend gave us this one plus a leghorn, which he got from the local farmstore.

    It's a bit hard to tell from the photo, but she has yellow-green legs, which are much thicker than a leghorn. Does anyone know what she might be? She's also smaller than the leghorn that was born at the same time. Her top feathers are light gray, not the brown that the photo shows. The rest...
