A friend gave us this one plus a leghorn, which he got from the local farmstore.Where did you get her from?
Her eyes are brown, I think. She's shy.Are her eyes gray too or is that my screen?
Maybe Cornish was a grandparent.
Her legs aren't just thick, they are yellow and green. Haven't seen any other chicken with that color of legs.Cornish x, x, Cornish in there somewhere but not an immediate ancestors.
She has some thick legs, I can't think of breeds with that trait.
Dorkings? She could be just a mutant. There's a ray Steven's song on mutant chickens....
The leghorn does, but not this one.Does it look like this? These were my leghorns at around 12 weeks
Oh no! Those legs do not look normal to me at all. Either a bad case of leg mites or a swelling issue. Perhaps the odd green look is due to this issue. It looks like a Leghorn or another Leghorn-based production mix
Your chicken looks ill. Her face is pale and her legs are swollen.
I put the legband on her, as well as the rest of this year's babies.Did you put the leg bands on or are those from the hatchery?
I also agree she has some leghorn in her but definitely a mix with something else.
