She's supposed to be a leghorn, but...

It's a bit hard to tell from the photo, but she has yellow-green legs, which are much thicker than a leghorn. Does anyone know what she might be? She's also smaller than the leghorn that was born at the same time. Her top feathers are light gray, not the brown that the photo shows. The rest of her feathers are white. Thanks for any help!

Oh no! Those legs do not look normal to me at all. Either a bad case of leg mites or a swelling issue. Perhaps the odd green look is due to this issue. It looks like a Leghorn or another Leghorn-based production mix

Definitely not Cornish X, she’s way too slim. They do look gray, they’re very pretty!

If she had Cornish x in there she would be way larger. Also it’s very hard to raise and breed them. The babies 90% of the time do not hatch. Some chickens just have thicker legs.

Maybe part eagle, she looks predator-y Not a leghorn at any rate. Big beak, thick legs, long body. Some game breed without the height?

Okay thats good, I don't mean the band is the cause though I just mean maybe if she does have some other problem you may want to take them off just for good measure.

I doubt OP needs a band to identify her anyway haha

Probably a hatchery Leghorn or one of the hatchery hybrid layers.

Or, if you got her from a breeder, then a Leghorn mix.

She could just have thick legs. Chickens don't all fit one cookie cutter, even within breeds. Sometimes unusual traits show up.

Part eagle definitely fits .

She kinda looks like a hatchery Isabella leghorn.

Your chicken looks ill. Her face is pale and her legs are swollen.
She does look like a leghorn mix.
