    I just wanted to update, she laid her first egg and it’s BLUE! I’m confident she hatched from a white egg and I still think she’s a cclb mix, but the blue egg was a nice surprise. 😊

    They were purchased at a farm swap. She said none would be barnyard mixes, but of course it’s always possible one slipped into the mix!

    It was not. It came from a purchased batch of “colorful layers” with a few extra. Included were ee, olive egger, Phoenix, cream legbar and maran eggs. This guy doesn’t seem to quite fit the bill of any of those.

    Hatched from a cream egg. Now at 3 1/2 weeks old a crest is starting to come in. How yellow it was at day 1 and the cream egg it hatched from are throwing me from all the usual guesses I would have. Photos are from day 1, week 1 and today at 3 1/2 weeks. Thanks!
