Very interesting.
Boy I like this game. He’s a good rooster and we like him. Good temperament so far. *crossing fingers*.
His name is Phares and he loves the smallest blue rock. Named by my son as Ender. Not sure if I captured Ender in any of these photos but it would be the darkest blue rock.
Sounds like a lot of white marans. Thanks so much.
We have a blue rock rooster as well and they are both from the same batch of chicks. Bought them early spring. As of right now they are very close to the same size. How do the marans compare in size to the rocks.
Just for craps and giggles. Any thoughts on what this guy is. Had some comments from a different post. Just gonna leave this here. Not worried about a definitive answer as we are not showing birds. Just find it interesting on people’s opinions and ideas. Not going to say what he was sold as.

Complicated.
thank you so much.

My wife picked these two up from the local TSC. They must have had some label issues because they were sold as day old GLW. As we are new to chickens (this is the second batch of chicks this year) she quickly realized there was a mix up. In looking at photos I believe these could be buff...
I have attached photos of the one I built this passed winter from pallets and scraps I brought home from work. Pallets are great.
I spent more on the automatic door than the coop. Lol.
We just got our first batch of chicks and our main purpose is eggs with the option of meat if needed occasionaly.
We got two st. run brahmas hoping one is a rooster and four blue rock hens. In the hopes that we end up with five hens and one brahma rooster. We chose these breeds due to...
