Help! My Eliza was fine at bedtime last night. This morning she was sluggish and has a purple comb. She has started to get some color back in her comb. She’s had some water, but I have not seen her eat today. She’s not panting or wheezing. No injury, mites or lice. I’m not sure if she’s laying...

I should add that there she has no visible injuries. No lice or mites. My girls have free run of our 3/4 acre fenced yard.

Eliza was her normal self last night…this morning, her comb is purple and she’s sluggish. I lost one of my favorite girls a few weeks ago (unknown cause, pale comb, not purple.) Eliza is not panting. She is drinking, but I have not seen her eat anything. Advice/suggestions please!

Follow up; Gladys I did all of the above. She kept hiding from the other girls and has now been missing for about 36hrs. We have a fenced yard and I even crawled under the porch (major arachnophobia and claustrophobia) and still not found. 😭

And probiotics and corid just in case...🤦‍♀️

Medicated water; hydro hen 3-in-1. Force fed poultry cell mixed with liquid b-12. Her crop was empty until she just ate a bunch on her own about 10 min ago. she is about 3 months old and her shite looks like normal chicken shite. No photos required...

From everything I’ve researched it does not seem like cocci is the culprit. Gladys is now eating voraciously and still keeping her eyes closed...I attempted to check for a scratch on one of her eyeballs, didn’t see anything noteworthy and she has not displayed any discharge from any orifice...

I got some corid in her. Her vent is fine. She is still a bit young to lay and she doesn’t have any nasty fecal matter...she is eating the feed topped yogurt now...with her eyes closed.

Ok...My SF chick, Gladys, slept on the floor of the coop last night. This morning she slept in longer than the other girls and has not wanted to keep her eyes open. She is responsive to things around her for the most part...Gladys current situation; in a crate with bedding, food, yogurt...
