Hello, got another silkie I need help with sexing please. I know silkies are hard to sex but would appreciate peoples opinions. Not sure about this one at all because of the comb. He/she is about 3/4 months old. Roo or hen?
Thanks for the guess. I've read that it's hard to sex silkies and you can't tell a lot of the time till they start crowing or lay an egg. The first one is so timid and quiet I did start to suspect when I saw the streamers growing, he/she was sold to me as a hen and was told he/she was DNA...
Hello, I'm new to the silkie world and would like help on sexing them please. Also what colouring would you say they are.
-First one: Black with silver collar is 8 months old. Hen or rooster and what colour please.
-Second one: Grey and is 4 months old. Hen or rooster and what colour please...
Thanks for that. I do give them apple cider vinegar once every couple of weeks and I will try your mash recipe. Oh and I didn't know that about the pumpkin seeds so will give that a go too! Thank you! 😁
Hello, I just had the results back for the worm test kit. It has come back negative. They do not have worms which is a yay but I'm still stumped about that is going on with them. Any advice please?

Morning everyone, I have checked their crops this morning before they've had anything to eat and everyone's is flat and empty.
We will collecting their droppings this morning and sending off to check for worms.
I'm in the UK.
Ok I will let everyone know once I've checked in the morning.
They are eating layer/ growers feed and some mixed seeds at the moment. They have a pot of grit and oystershells too.
My silkie is about 6/7months old and my other hens are around 9 months old.
No vet near me deals with chickens unfortunately. The weather is mild, cool and a little bit breezy.
I will double check their crops in the morning tomorrow but when I have done it always feels flat and empty
