    Sexing Coturnix Quails

LOL! That’s so true! 🤣 I tried separating a few but the only one that has crowed was the male I was sure about. I’m keeping an eye on them.

    Sexing Coturnix Quails

Hahaha yeah, it’s been fun to read! I’m still a bit unsure since there is some conflicting information but I think I might just try to separate them and just hope for eggs from the maybe dudes/gals lol.

    Sexing Coturnix Quails

Ahh that’s what I’ve been hoping. Most of this thread feels they are all boys though. I’ve been unsure because of someone’s post about the facial markings.

Actually the two “most likely boys” have that stripe on their face. Here’s pictures of 1for sure girl (I previously didn’t post her pic), 2, I’m not sure (was previously also #2), and 3 for sure boy (was previously #4).

    Sexing Coturnix Quails

I have no idea what the light one is. I got a batch of eggs from a friend and it was just the odd lil one out.

    Sexing Coturnix Quails

I have a few quails I hatched that I have been having trouble sexing. One is a light color and the others have both speckles and a partly brown chest. Could I get some help? Thanks! I’m pretty sure #4 is male but I’m having issues figuring out #1, 2, and #5.
