@Eggcessive Her crop is completely empty. She's straining to breathe. Here is one more video, I feel euthanization might be the best option for her. Also, I found some other links that seem to have similar conditions to her and they were giving other medications, something mycorrhizal sounding...
It doesn't feel it has been full before bed lately. It's very empty in the morning, non existent really. I don't see a link attached, I'll look through the forum
I'll give her yogurt tomorrow morning, she's been eating very small amounts, still diving in for the occasional meal worms. Still labored breathing, open mouth inhaling, still has tales. I will take another video tomorrow too
Possibly, I'll keep her isolated in the house for the next week while I medicate and that should help in case that's another issue.
It's been an extra dry winter so very possible dust and cedar allergies we're another drop in the bucket for her. Thanks again for your help @Eggcessive
@Eggcessive I've moved her inside the house, given her chick crumbles with nutrient drench and water with nutrition and electrolytes and a small amount of meal worms. She has pooped (no worms visible) and she ate all the meal worms. Today no meds and is day 6 since I started the five day 0.5ml...
I'm so happy to hear from you eggcessive. She has nothing on eyes or face out of norm.
No one else is showing any I'll behavior. Stool is liquid and very bubbly.
She's had these symptoms for about 3 months but it was getting better, or so I thought.
I've had necropsy reports done in the past...
Frennie is 4 year old crested cream leg bar, she is free range, on organic chick feed, oyster shells and whatever she can find on her patch of land. She is 1 of my 18 chickens and the only one showing these signs. This has been going on for about 2+ months and only recently getting worse. She is...
Frennie is looking so much better this morning, eating, scratching and much more active. Even her shape is almost 100% normal - her tail is only slightly sloped now. I will continue with the Cal Citrate, D3, Valbazan & additional vitamins and electrolytes. Thank you guys so much for helping my...
This evening she's scratching and eating more:clap Also more active. I gave her some fresh watermelon with some Poultry Booster too.
On the Valbazen article I didn't notice anything about consuming eggs or not. Any advice there?
I'm thinking I'll hold off on the monistat for now? Only cause...
this morning was soft and squishy. MAYBE 20% of full size. I have yet to see her eat but they are free range.
I dont have any coconut oil atm but i can get some. I also just got in some nutridrench thinking that might help- what do you think about adding that too?
both. the video didnt really show it much but she walks around, stops and looks between at herself then repeats. It might be nothing- its just something i havent seen them do much of
Update on Frennie from this morning.
Day 3 of Cal. Citrate + D3. Day 1 of deworming.
She is very very warm- feverish.
Crop is more of a lump than anything lately. She doesnt seem to be eating much and is looking between her legs often?
I have included a potential useless photo of her poo. It...
