I only have 3 hens in that coop. I have another coop on another part of our property, but it only has chicks and another teen roo in there. The eggs are 100% from the 3 hens. All laid in the same nest. Have only had the 3 layers for about 2 months, and I always collect at the same time every...
I just made a post about this. I have 3 laying EE , and today I put one of my silkie rooster in with the hens because he was being mean to the other rooster. This afternoon, I collected the eggs and 2 of the hens each laid 2 eggs! Could the rooster been the cause of this? Maybe inducing ovulation?
So today I moved one of my silkie roosters into the coop with my 3 laying hens, and 2 of the hens each laid 2 eggs! Definately not complaining, but is it just a coincidence, or did this happen because of the new Rooster ??
She did say that they were already sexed, but the 2 larger ones where almost 2 weeks older than the others. I sure hope there is more than 1 pullet! Lol
I gave her some electrolytes for a couple days, and then made some mash with her medicated crumble with a bit of molasses. She became stronger very quickly!

I'm starting to think it may be neurological too. I've already given vitamins, and gave gatorade or a boost. It's been almost a week, so it has to be something possiby permanent, other than an illness that can be cured. 😪
It's been a few days now and the chick seems to be doing well. Is eating, drinking and pooping normally. BUT every once in awhile I find her on her back and unable to get up. I flip her back over and she goes right to eat and scratch again. She is definitely alot smaller than the others. What...
She was like this when I picked her up yesterday from the store. She just seemed alot more docile than the others. But then when I put her in the brooder, I noticed her getting knocked around alot, and not eating as much as the others.
I brought home some olive egger chicks yesterday and one was noticeably quieter and weak. She would fall over when bumped, is very lethargic, not eating or drinking unless I do it and today I found her on her back and notable to get up. She was shaking and looked like her feet where clenched...
