    i got a blue green egg today too out of one of my pullets. did she ever make a racket laying it. just a small egg with some blood on it. i felt like a proud pappa!

    definately a weasel. had one destroy 8 pullets and a full grown rooster. even ate some of the rooster. ya think all is great til one gets in. my coop had open holes and i never thought anything of it. well after not owning chickens for several years my new coop is hole free with a locking coop...

    poops!

    my hen has a clear watery discharge. she seems healthy and still legs eggs but the area under her vent is rotten. does she have worms or should i cull her off?

    My chicken's foot is swollen and has a bubble on it

    use a one inch pipe and cover it with foam insulation used to insulate water pipes. its nice and soft on their feet. it makes a great perch

    my young hen is all black . even her comb and beak. never heard of a black comb. any ideas which breed she is?
