    Whiskey barrel filter

    I have some old whiskey barrels. We are putting in a new duck pond filter. I would like to use one of the barrels for a filter and one for gutter rain water collections. The question is if the whiskey leaches from the barrel will it harm my ducks or geese? Has anyone tried this?
