You were right. My 2 roos are now 5 months old & trying to mate with the little pullets that are not ready. I had to re-home them, fortunately to a friend who actually had too many “possible hens.” I don’t know how old this little babe is, do you have any guesses on pullet or roo?
I just acquired this silkie from a friend after having to re-home 2 of my beloved 5 month old roos. You guys were on point figuring out their gender at 9 weeks old, was going to see if y’all could do your best guess with my little babe, Cheech (possibly 10 weeks old), otherwise I’ll send out for...
I have an update, my silkies are now
11.5 weeks old - #1
& 9.5 weeks old #2 + #3

We have very sandy DG dirt here & I keep sand in their coop / run along with hay. I also let them free range for at least 8 hours a day. My white chickens are always so clean & white! I have 2 light brahma & 2 white silkies. The silkies are 4 & 6 weeks old, the Brahmas are 20 weeks old & ive...
These chicks were different colors when purchased from the feed store at a day old but look very similar but still different now. They have 4 toes, feather footed & are supposed to be hens... some of their recent 4 week old photos + when they were a few days old
