The other geese on that feed were fine but I know that was some weird food. We're buying b complex powder pills, how much should I give her? Can I give her some ivermectin?
We were feeding her chick starter but switched to game feed, there's not much grass here unless you go to the back yard but she's to young for that. We noticed her development was lagging as soon as she hatched. She was the second gosling hatched from a duck but the other is doing fine.
I'm used to raising geese and ducks but I've never seen something like this. I have a four to five week old gosling that isn't growing like the others I have, she's smaller than she should be and she's always had bald spots. She recently got over cement vent and her belly sounds/feels like pop...
We've soaked him in Epsom salt and put some cream on him, his vent isn't swollen but it's still wet. We do clean it up and keep him dry so maybe he can be helped. I'll try again for pictures tomorrow but my camera is horrible
Sorry in advance for the horrible picture, I shake too much.
So last night we noticed or chick who's always crying and scratching has a piece of her skull visible with the feathers growing underneath the bone. Her neck also has bones poking up, you can easily feel them. The eggs came from my...
Can anyone tell me about cemented vents? I have a gosling less than two Weeks and his vent is all dried up and hard but there's no poo. He can still poo but it's diarrhea. I tried looking online but all I find is about pasty butt, but I don't think it's that. I've noticed he also isn't growing...
I meant vitamin E, I just typed antibiotics for some reason. We've been giving her tuna and egg along with the vitamin. We think she developed a deficiency from going broody so soon after hatching.
She flipped around on the floor before we got to her so my mother thinks she might have hit her...
I have a nankin mix (hen) that had chicks and went broody again after about eight weeks. The night her eggs started peeping she got wry neck so we gave her the necessary antibiotics and she got better after a week but I noticed something odd. She acted like she couldn't see us; she normally...
My silkie rooster was found dead but still warm so he was killed recently. He was in a position on his back but more to the side with no puncture marks except for a bit of dried blood on the edge of his foot. He had a fist sized wet spot under his wing and so blood on his beak. There were no...
I leave her alone but she just fallows me around, she does her own thing until I go in. She's currently in a crate beside our Saramas because she keeps getting inside.
What do I do if I just can't get her to go outside? Even if I pick her up and take her to the other end of the yard with the hens, she runs to the door and won't leave.
Can she be broody without laying her first egg?
I meant she's not getting picked on, they chase her once in awhile but that's it. I'm sorry, I should have added that.
Thank you for your advice
I forgot to say that aside from the usual pecking order behavior, the hens leave her alone. She does have an older hen that she'll hang around and a silky roost who also tries to come in.
I have a little red barnyard hen, she's young and sweet, but I'm so confused with her behavior because I've never had a chicken act like this.
When when first got her she was a few months old but got along fine with the other hens, she'd always try to get inside the house, she'd give up after a...
