Figures. I had a tough time hatching them and 3 out of 4 are boys. Luckily I have a home for 2 of them and I’ll keep suspect.

The last picture is of the suspect one.

Additionally the two I suspect are Roos don’t have much in tail feathers. The other two have them.

I’m pretty sure two are Roos. One is pullet, but I’m not sure of the 4th one. The two with the large combs have copper neck feather, the pullet all black. The one I’m unsure of has smallish comb but not as small as the pullet. It has no copper neck feathers like the other Roos. What do you think!

So remember theses two? They are 7 weeks. This morning I heard what could only be described as a chicken being choked. Lol. I think someone was trying to crow. Is 7 weeks a bit young?

Little update. The Leaking egg did not make it. Probably for the best. I have so far 4 out of 9 eggs hatched. Took the bad one out. I have 4 left to hatch. It's only day 21. So they have a few more days. Three out of the four look healthy. 4th one has curled toes. It's only 3 hours old. Waiting...

One so far three more pipping but I don’t have high hopes for the egg with the problem. When they dry off I’ll take it out and examine it better.

It’s at 65%. Two others are pipping and there is no slime from them but they are only just starting to break through. I’m not seeing any movement anymore. Not sure if it’s still alive. If there is no more movement by morning I might have to remove it. I don’t want it contaminating the others.

It’s not moved too much just up enough to no being face down. The hole is much larger than in the beginning.

It's still trying to break out, but that liquid is still dripping. But I turned it up a little so gravity lets it drip out and down instead of back inside. Hopefully, it won't dry up. Humidity is at 69%. I'm going to monitor it and hope for the best.

I just saw the beak come through again. Pretty forceful too. Maybe it’ll be all right.

I don't hear anything but I thought I saw some movement. It's hard to tell, the hole is not big.

It's only been about 2 hours since I saw its beak break out. I haven't heard any peeping, but the last hatch one of the eggs took 24 hours before he even zipped. I'll keep an eye out.

Unfortunately, the room is like 50%. We've been getting a lot of humid days. Maybe I should just wipe it off real quick before the others start breaking through. I can be fast. Edit. I turned it slightly and wiped off the gunk, but I fear I may have been too late. We shall see. The humidity...

50 for the first 18 then up to 60-70. The incubator is touchy with humidity. but I have been watching it like a hawk the entire time. I have Bluetooth thermometer in there so I know when it dropped. It has gone up to 73 at the moment.

So my last batch of my attempt to hatch Copper Marans. I was watching the chick Pip, its beak came out and then this white oozing stuff followed. Is that something going on that is going to suffocate the chick? I haven't seen it move much more but it was like blowing bubbles. I can't open the...

Good to know. I’m always learning new things.

Faverolle is a cream legbar/Faverolle mix. Got the CLB colors and the Faverolle feet. Not sure what the white one is mixed with but the breeder says mom is a leghorn.
