    4 week old cockerel?

It's definitely the chance I took when incubating. I guess this means I have to get more pullets. 😂

    4 week old cockerel?

So this is an update in a previous post. My chicks are now 4 weeks old. I know I have at least 3 roos out of the group but is this little reddish one number 4?

Update on potential roos. Looking for thoughts on gender.

I know the one BR mix is definitely then I had both white ones as potentials. What's your fourth? The reddish one?

Update on potential roos. Looking for thoughts on gender.

This is an update to an earlier post. I have just about 4 week old mixed breeds. I'm pretty sure out of 6chicks 3 of them are cockerels. Thoughts?

    hen or roo?

I would say the 1st chick pictured could be a cockerel.

Barred rocks and what ? Rural king has me confused

I didn't notice the all black one in the back. I'm not sure the breed on that one.

Barred rocks and what ? Rural king has me confused

They all looked like Barred Rocks. Your lighter ones are roos.

    Another roo?

I guess the EE attitude should have told me he's a roo. And there is no denying the BR.🤣

    Another roo?

Thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge! Only having two sounds a lot better than 4! I was really hoping that reddish one was a pullet. I will keep posting as they get a little older.

    Another roo?

The white ones I believe are an isa brown/barred rock mix they both have black spots on them. The reddish EE came and all black came from these two.

    Another roo?

Thank you all for your responses. I believe all are mixed breeds. The 2 barred rocks and the 2 white ones all came from a barred rock rooster and either a wyndotte, isa brown, or leghorn hen. The all black and reddish are from my group and the are both EE. Here are pics of all 6.

    Another roo?

I have 6 3 week old chicks and I know I have 2 little cockerels but I'm thinking I have 3 possibly 4! The EE I'm not sure about it's a bit too early yet for her. But I'm fairly confident on my white one. Do you agree?

    Little roo suspicion

😫 well I guess that's the chance I took when incubating eggs.

    Little roo suspicion

Thank you! I'm hoping I only have 2. That's still two too many.😂

    Little roo suspicion

I currently have some chicks that are about 3 weeks old. I have some suspicion that I have a couple if not 3 roos in the group. I know they're a little young to sex. One is a barred rock/wyndotte cross. The other 2 I believe are barred rock/isa brown cross.

Sexing Silkies 🤦‍♀️ I need your help

No problem! I'm not an expert by any means but I've enjoyed having silkies in my flock. One out of my 3 are a little flighty but once you pick her up, she loves snuggles. I currently have bachelor pad and even though he's the smallest, he's the toughest.

Sexing Silkies 🤦‍♀️ I need your help

My silkie rooster is very docile and calm. He really showed no cockerel behavior like some of my others did early on either.

The white one is a cockerel. The black one appears to be also but I'm a little hesitant to say for sure.
