    good morning!! i just checked her wound again and it’s already looking a bit better. no longer oozing!

    it’s hard to see in the pics… there’s the initial wound which you can see, then under a flap of skin there’s a hole that looks like it may go pretty deep. that hole is small though and i was able to flush it out well.

    small update, since i can see the wound better now. the wound itself is green, but has zero smell which i assume is good ? flushed it out and gave her some antibiotics.

    the only exotic animal vet in my area i know of is outrageously expensive, and for something like this i just can’t afford vet care. last time i took her to this vet they charged me over 200 dollars for a beak trim. if all else fails i’ll take her though.

    alchohol and bactine. i’m going to the store tomorrow for some better stuff and i have a friend bringing over amoxicillin and electrolytes. what do you reccomend?

    it’s pretty clogged with feathers that i’m afraid to remove because everytime i try, they take away a bunch of flesh with them. (the bandage is holding her broken wing to her body) the wound is on her breastbone.
