Yes, they both might grow out to be over colored like Kong. This is all test mating to see what Kong produces.
With Kong being over colored and Betty having no color I should get correct coloring in their progeny but alas I got no boys from her... 😞 But I'm taking notes on her pullets because 2...
I'm trying to get 2 more hatches this year. I need more babies from Angel and boys from Betty. Then an OE, MMM hatch. If one of my 18 hens go broody, Bonus babies !! 🤣
Soon as these little ones integrate fully, I might plug the Bator back in. 🙂
I've only had them 4 years now, and within the last year or so really trying to get serious so no genius by any means myself.
That's why I'm usually spotted in so many Marans threads. Trying to soak in new knowledge and add insight (hopefully correct) when I can. Gotta start somewhere... 👍
I'm guessing because these littles were batored and their brooder coop was blocked off for the weather might have caused Kong not to imprint on them. 🤔
We'll see what happens next hatch in better weather or if one goes broody. 🙂

You might be right with them not selling Blue Coppers, I didn't do that research before posting. 👍
I'm no expert on the Cuckoos either but I would assume barring would be showing by 2 weeks.
Please correct me if I'm wrong on that. Just trying to help narrow down the whodunit... 🧐🤣
Both of them? If so as @JedJackson stated they are probably BCMs or Marans hybrids. Blue Copper will be mostly greyish (Blue) overall.Little to no black, much lighter hatchdown.
Congrats on your little ones tho either way. I've got 19 BCMs and I've had Midnight Majestys before (planning to...
The babies are 5 weeks old today, and the 2 boys are spitting images of Kong at that age. (Both from Joannie). Slightly sad that I didn't get any boys from Betty, but that means I need to hatch more from her. 🙂
They've been off heat and all the panels I put on door, ceiling and separation wall...

1/4" is 23 gauge. 1/2" is 19 gauge... It's thicker.
The gauge is the thickness of wire used. For instance, your standard chain link fencing is 9 gauge.
