    Vent gleet and fowl pox?

Thank you! I cut the thing inside her egg open and it looks and feels like normal egg white inside the membrane. She’s still eating and drinking but definitely not as much as she used to. She’s also isolating herself and staying away from the other chickens and not moving as much. There are...

    Vent gleet and fowl pox?

Those are two of my chickens and the one in the second picture (with the pale comb) usually lays an egg every day, but she hasn’t laid any eggs for three days and the last time she did, she laid a big egg with a small one inside it (third picture).

    Vent gleet and fowl pox?

Hello! New chicken owner here. I have four hens and this morning, I went to unlock them and I noticed that my Gingerham has a very pale comb compared to the others. My chickens’ combs are usually bright red so I was pretty concerned at this sudden change. I went inside to grab my phone so I...

    Mites in the chicken coop?

Hello! Today I went outside to feed my four pullets, but I noticed a few red mites on the chicken coop roof. They were like tiny red dots and quickly disappeared and now I don't know where they are. I checked my chickens and it doesn't look like there are mites on them, but I'm not 100% sure. I...

    Ducks Causing Problems

Thank you. Luckily, they are both female ducks, but the ducks are definitely making everything messy and VERY wet in the chicken run.

    Ducks Causing Problems

Ok. Thanks for the information. I'm keeping them for a few months so probably until the start December. They are still skittish around me unless I have treats but I understand that it takes time to earn their trust. Do you know how the ducks might be able to get along with my chickens?

    Ducks Causing Problems

So a friend of mine asked me to take care of her ducks (a Khaki Campbell and two Perkins) while she went away. i have four chickens as well so we thought they might get along. However, as soon as the ducks saw the chickens, they tried to bite their combs and push them with their bills. I was...

Pullet has sticky clear liquid dripping from her beak!

I checked my chicken’s crop this morning and it felt normal and I couldn’t smell an odour from her head. She’s eating and drinking and doesn’t appear sick at all🤔

Pullet has sticky clear liquid dripping from her beak!

She is nearly 27 weeks old. I feed them layer pellets and I sometimes mix it with some water or ferment it. For treats, I give them cabbages, carrots, broccoli and watermelon. Sometimes, I give them some leftover pasta or bread. I‘ll check on her crop tomorrow in the morning.
