Sadly just a few days ago we had 2 coyotes and a fox attack the chickens. we lost 5 of our hens, including the silkie which turned out to be a girl, and our amazing rooster. 😔

Crossing my fingers this one is a pullet but I'm not sure. Never had silkies before and only got one from the feed store so I don't have another I could compare it to. Any ideas or still too early?

None of them are bullies, she is a newer chicken and probably just got pecked around when they were re-establishing the pecking order.

Should I supplement heat? I live in missouri, my birds are fully feathered, and they have an enclosed coop. I have a heat plate that I could use for them but I was just wondering if it's a good idea?

Hey y'all just wanted to share the buck I shot this past weekend during youth opener!

That's awesome! We got a black lab to be a duck dog but she turned out only to be a lap dog lol She still loves to go in hunts with us and isn't gun shy, she will fetch few ducks but that's it. I sure do love her tho ❤
