    Here's some more updates at 10 weeks. I had the white silkies dna tested and the results are that they are both females! I didn't get the grey one tested, so I'm still a bit unsure about it.     I like sharing updates of how they are growing so that people in searching later on can see how the whole process of them growing has been. Here they all are at 7 weeks old, with a focus on the Dark Brahma cockerel because he is my favorite, but the silkies are cute too and I just love 'em all.

    Based on his stance alone, I was leaning heavily towards cockerel. Just gonna have to hope my neighbors don't complain when he finds his voice.

    First Egg on Thanksgiving!

    An update: Well, the hen that laid her first egg seems have set of a chain reaction, and now I have at least 2 more layers, or maybe more since I've gotten 3 eggs a day for the past 2 days. Most of them have been in the nest box, while I've found 2 in their run. So far, they've tasted great!

    14 week old Buff Orpington pullet with bubbly tears, also noticeably smaller and lighter than the other Buff Orpington from the same hatch.

    Update: Sadly she has passed away as of 3 days ago. I'm not sure how, but it happened in isolation. I don't think she was eating or drinking based on how I was monitoring her food intake, don't know if that was a symptom or a cause.

    The size of this chicken is something I've noticed since about 10 weeks, she just doesn't seem to be getting bigger, and even another 9 week old from a different hatch is starting to catch up to her in size.     10 week old Buff Orpingtons, want to confirm their Gender.

    I have 3 Buff Orpingtons, one looks clearly different than than the other two, so I am pretty sure that it's a Cockerel. Bigger comb/wattles , and more aggressive Personality (goes to attack my slippers, while the other 2 run away). The feathers look different too, but to me it's hard to tell...
