Black Swedish in need of a loving home

Hello! I'm looking for loving duck homes in the Tampa Bay area (Pinellas County, but I can make it into Tampa) that are willing to take a Black Swedish who is about 18 months old. I had him with a female Muscovy, but sadly, his mate died. I just don't think I'll be able to take care of him...

Looking for a loving home for my Black Swedish

It's okay 🥲 I just hope that, in her time with us, she was happy. I have not 😮 but I'll post there later when I'm off work. I'm in Clearwater

Looking for a loving home for my Black Swedish

Hello! I'm looking for loving duck homes in the Tampa Bay area that are willing to take a Black Swedish who is about 18 months old. I had him with a female Muscovy, but sadly, his mate died. I just don't think I'll be able to take care of him anymore, and want to find him a loving home.

My Black Swedish broke a piece of his bill

So, recently I've relocated my ducks from my apartment, to my mom's house, because she has more space and they can run around outside. I'm at work, and just got this picture from my mom, saying she found him like this. Does anyone know how to treat a bill break, and will it grow back? I can post...

    My duck dislocated her leg

So, the title is basically my entire problem. I'm already out $260 and it's gonna cost a hell of a lot more. Doc says he's never done this on a duck before and will only charge for sedation, if it fails. Has anyone experienced this? Should I go to a professional, or could this possibly be done...

Should I keep my ducks separated?

Sorry if I seem defiant, but I'd like a second opinion before I reintroduce them to each other. We're going to the vet on Saturday, so I'll ask them, but I just can't bare to see her freaking out like that whenever he pulls out her feathers.

Should I keep my ducks separated?

The female is a Muscovy, but she runs to me in what seems like terror, when the male (black swedish) starts ripping out her wing feathers

Should I keep my ducks separated?

Development in the situation. I have watched the action happen in full, finally. Caught her laying down on the ground, in front of them, and he started pecking at her neck and ripping feathers off her wings. Then she got up and ran towards me, chirping erratically. I have separated him again.

Should I keep my ducks separated?

Thank y'all for your replies! I'll let them do their duck thing, and make sure he doesn't hurt her

Should I keep my ducks separated?

Hello, all! Quick question. I have 2 ducks, about 4 months old, a male and a female. The male keeps pinning down the female by her neck. I took this as bullying and separated them, because I read somewhere that they're not sexually active until they're 1 years old, and any behavior like this...

Duck hurt it's leg and won't put pressure on it.

I also made her a meal out of collard greens I ripped to shreds in the blender, her usual pellets, and a few mealworms, and gave her the leftover water, with some more added to it in another dish. She seems to be eating very scarcely, but she is drinking the water. I came out to check on her and...

Duck hurt it's leg and won't put pressure on it.

She tried to walk, but won't use the foot. I think I remember hearing that they need to be away from the rest of the ducks, and to have limited movement, so I made her a little nest, next to where my other duck is, so she doesn't get lonely.

Duck hurt it's leg and won't put pressure on it.

I was holding my duck (something I do often) and she jumped out of my arms and hurt her leg. She's not putting pressure on it, and isn't moving much. When she does move, she hobbles. Is there anything I can do?

What does a duck's sneeze sound like?

I didn't catch what he was doing when he made the sound, but he was near their water. He doesn't do it often, though.

What does a duck's sneeze sound like?

My friend's dog sneezes like one of those toy cars that you have to roll on the ground to get it going. So, like that? He hasn't been doing it today, but my duck kinda sounds like he's huffing, or like a short, quick blow of air out of his nostrils.

What does a duck's sneeze sound like?

Im wondering if anybody might have video or knowledge on what a duck's sneeze sounds like? I had to leave in a hurry this morning to get to work, so I didn't have time to give my ducks a bath. I came home and my new one sounded like he was sneezing, but now that they've had a bath, he isn't...

Any advice for a biting duck?

Yeah. When it comes to animals, I can get a little carried away with showing my love. My first one hops into my lap when I sit near them and loves to play with my hair and cuddle, so I can get my fix of loving her ❤️ my second one can absolutely tear into some collard greens like the plant is...

Any advice for a biting duck?

Affection? 😂 He shakes a lot, when I'm near him, and tries to turn away from me, so I figured he might be scared. Also, my only other experience with a duck, cuddles. I'm fine if it's just the one duck that wants to cuddle, but I just wanted to show both of my children the same amount of affection
