I just googled to see if diatomaceous earth helps with arthritis and joint pain and it does! Get the food grade from home Depot or a feed store and it's safe to ingest
The ones I've seen are really small, like half an inch and circular shaped. I do not know if that is the standard, but maybe it is due to the curved surface.
