My rooster passed away this evening.it was very tough for him in the last few days.
Its heartbreaking but a relief that he doesn't have suffer anymore.
Thank you to all BYC members who have helped me to take care of these wonderful creations.
I really don't think there is a vet nearby who will run a test on feces but ill try to get him some probiotics.
Do you know any brands which will available on indian local stores?
No he hasn't been eating a lot properly. my mother and i handfed him some warm oatmeal with fish today and later gave him some vitamin supplements.
His crop is about a bit full because i just gave him a hour ago.
His crop empties pretty slow which makes me worry a bit.
I have exam tomorrow so i...
I woke up today to find his crop was again almost which makes me think that he doesn't have sour crop but his stool is still watery like the above picture. Considering he had respiratory issues and seeing an article i have a feeling that he has an bacterial infection idk do you think i could be...
Ill try to feed him some scrambled eggs tomorrow i just hope the crop empties normally.
Truthfully the vets near me are not rooster specific. they treat birds in general but ill try to ask him and if he will be available i might take him again to the clinic.
@Eggcessive @azygous @Wyorp Rock @Saaniya is there any way to empty the crop without any physical help?
I gave him some crushed garlic with water before sleep. would that help him for the time being?
I woke up today and found his crop emptied almost half but his butt was extremely in a bad situation as u can see. I let him be outside in the balcony to let him peck some greens but he just sat there for the whole time and didn't ate anything.
My vet whom i went to 5 days ago told me to...
I will take picture of him tomorrow morning.
I have often checked for cankers and he has none but i will check it anyways.
Im hoping this crop may empty by tomorrow.it really hurts to see him being lethargic :(
Thank you ill try to find tylan if its available. Yes he has respiratory issues which made take him to vet because his breathing was very groggy and he used to cough or sneeze a lot. His croaking voice has almost completely changed. He just looks a bit lethargic im just hoping he gets well...
I have one 4½ year old rooster who lost his companion 40 days ago.
In the past week he started having respiratory issues such as wheezing coughing sneezing etc. He also stopped having appetite.
I went to the vet 5 days ago and they gave me ibugesic and vitamin supplements.
I thought it was going...
@Saaniya my rooster's comb is getting a little purple these is it because of the climate change or is it because of the current sickness?
(Rainy season has started in delhi, india)
When i went to vet he gave me ibugesic and vitamin supplement. When i gave him both few drops yesterday he was getting fine but today when my mother gave him it looked like was gasping for air
His appetite is very low
He is definitely having breathing problems because his voice is very groggy and he is sometimes gasping for air.
His stool is very watery and bit greeny for a past one month
