I’m not sure how far along I have never had pregnant guinea pigs I do not think you can prevent it just monitor the mom and make sure she is staying healthy
I would say if you felt kicking in the right place there is a good chance there are some alive if you have one dead that can lead to others dying as well
I’m so sorry you really tried to do the best I know people who would have just killed the chicken at the sight of a lump or just have done nothing trying to improve her quality of life was a great thing to do no matter what I am so sorry and really wish things would have worked out
I have a Silkie who I have to put out of the nesting box and lock her out if the coop I’ve tried putting rocks in all the nesting boxes but she sits right on them I haven’t tried the crate method yet but want to try it before winter becomes she will go broody for months so I have to lock her out...
Looks like it could be check for lazy chickens and separate them in quarantine clean up all bloody poop, and if the chickens show any more signs start a chick safe coccidiosis treatment
