Hatchery recommendations

I definitely agree that ideal and McMurray are good hatcheries! I love my birds from them! Bantams and standards!

Hello! This coming spring I would like to get some more bantams as a mink attack earlier this summer left us with only one silkie hen and the bantam Rhode Island Red rooster. I really miss the little guys and the Bantie coop feels so empty since it only has the silkie and her chick. I’ve never ordered from a hatchery before so don’t really know the process and dos and don’ts. I’m open to the idea of hatching eggs as well but I’d prefer to get day olds from somewhere that vaccinates their chicks against mareks and the like but it’s not a deal breaker. Also any breed suggestions? So far on my list I have:
Silkies
Sebrights
Belgian bearded Du’ucle ( mille fleur and maybe some other colors)
Bantam Cochins
Maybe more bantam RIR
Frizzles maybe but I don’t know a lot about them
Old English game bantam
So far that’s my list I’m open to suggestions and any other information.

McMurray was actually the first hatchery I ordered from, (earlier this year) and they were great about customer service, only had 1 out of 33 chicks not make it (which they gave me another free one, because I had an order coming the next week, and they are all amazing birds!

Ideal is good with customer service as well, and have a very good selection of bantams available!

If you want any breed recommendations please let me know, as I have plenty of good suggestions if you need them.

Standard please! I tend to like the heavier breeds as well- cold hearty as I am in NY

Some of my favorites are Cochin, Icelandic’s, appenzeler ,salmon favorelle, and Sumatra’s ( but I don’t think they are very cold hardy)

I wish they had Salmon Favorelle's with clean legs- those cheeks are just too cure!!
