My flock is currently 4 chickens and 5 ducks. Thank you for your reply, I never considered with all the ventilation it had that it would need more (there’s slits on the front and back walls and 2 skylight vents)
I will look into getting some powered ventilation
I am currently using a vinyl 7x7 shed as a coop. I notice that there is a lot of condensation in the ceiling of the coop, and the bedding I put inside is getting soiled really quickly. (Don’t mind the photos, I’m currently cleaning out the old bedding) Do you guys have any recommendations on how...
I have a barred rock hen, and her feathers are not laying flush against her body. She is around 10-11 weeks old. I’m not sure if this is an injury or not. Help please?
I purchased two ducklings at my local TSC and they were unlabeled. I didn’t realize that there were a few different duckling breeds that were brown. Could these possibly be khaki cambells? What things do you look for when identifying ducklings?
I can provide more photos if needed.

Well this is the first time I have EVER seen one in harts creek.
My dad actually caught it because it was stuck in his garage and was stuck in my bicycle wheel.
I didn't know if this post would go on the chicken-what breed or gender discussion board, since it is definitely NOT a chicken. (Oh, and please ignore the date on these pictures, my camera is messed up >.< )
I am not even sure if this thing is even native to West Virginia......
Here it is...
Yeah, it seems like the ones you love the most are the ones most targeted. I still remember when my dog killed my hen that my grandma named Henrietta. She would fly out of the coop and go to my grandma's, where my grandma would feed her cat food out of her hand, then go back to the chicken lot...
I got him from my neighbors and I'm wondering what breed he is
See he has the black plumage, the white mark on his chest, and I just noticed that he has the bright color on his wing like a mallard
See the blue-ish spot? He has a purple one like that!
This happened a while back, but I was curious to see what happened. I had a hen that resembled a Brahma that was fawn colored. Well, I had decided to let all my chickens out to pick at the yard. She was doing fine, eating drinking the water. Well, I looked over and she just stopped in the middle...

Oh, sorry. By the second question I was asking if I should let them out of the pen I would put them in during the day and let them run around.
Thanks! I will look at the site
I am just curious, due to the fact that I got them from my neighbors.
The one in the left of course is a pearl guinea, but what about the large hen and dark rooster?
What about this hen?
and this rooster(which is the father of the dark rooster)
I have been trying to research some information about them, but haven't had much success. I may be able to talk my father into buying me a few, but I would have to do a lot of research and prove to him that I can take care of them properly. That's how I have gotten most of my animals. If someone...
