    Quail chick.. Brown watery poo..

    Hi all , I have 3 quail chicks almost 2 weeks old . I noticed one of them had slightly water poo yesterday, and while cleaning the brooder one pood and it’s just bacily brown and watery.. first time with chicks . Anything to be concerned about ? Usually it’s kind of two toned , white ect . Thanks !

    Ditto, we had lost one right after this one hatched .. minutes. He was 3 days old . We barely held it together to bury him.. we were both surprised on how attached we got . But yes fingers crosssed .. :/ if by morning he’s still on his back .. well. But here’s hoping !

    He’s active , chirps, kicks his feet, have in wrapped in a sock now with his feet positioned Bert i can.. maybe that will help? If not .. he probably won’t make it .. not looking forward to that.. :/ i hope you’re does well :)…. Not the best pic ..

    I was trying not to open the incubator when I had eggs that pipped . So as not to shrink wrap them. I could move him.. but if he can’t stay under the heat.. I can maybe fit a small cup. But I don’t have any non glass ones that small , they get too hot .. the humidity is down to 60..

    I just a few hours ago had a similar thing with a quail.. was In shell after he started to zip about 40 hours.. can’t stand yet.. he’s kicking and chirping away though . leaving him alone in the incubator for as long as possible .. crossing fingers ..

    He’s fluffing out now and really trying to stand.. banging all around the incubator .. and now chirping .. I hope I don’t have to cull.. never done it .. I know it’s life .. was hard enough to bury the one we hit attached to..

    Just fell bad .. hatched 5 .. literally just lost one.. 10 min after this post .. just passed in the brooder .. he was so weak.. I think he tried to eat and choked I dunno.. all the others.. I think are good .. sleeping in the corner together

    No more eggs hatching . Ok it’s been almost 2hours . He’s flopping around sideways on his back … went right under the paper towels had to fix that.. tried settling him on his feet for a second .. no coordination at all yet

    So our last egg to hatch.. he had to be in the zip stage for 35 or so hours maybe 40. Last 24 no progress.. I wet his membrane with warm water , gently chipped a little of his shell away and he hatched by himself My other chicks I never saw immediately after they hatched .. does he look normal...
