    One hen never lays !

Yes, I guess I'll just introduce a new hen this fall so that I have 3 layers, and keep my non-layer too. I'm positive she doesn't ever lay - it's pretty easy to tell when you only have 3... Good to know other folk have sterile hens too though.!

    One hen never lays !

I have 3 hens - two of them have been laying for 9 months now, but one has never laid an egg. She's a freeloader, but she's pretty and I'm fond of her. They are all the same age. I wonder, will she ever lay ? Is there anything I can do ?

    Butch hen ?

I read somewhere that hens can occasionally crow, so how do I know if the crower is a new young rooster or if one of my hens is just a little different ? I can't keep roosters in the city, so I guess I can't keep a crowing hen either !

My girls won't climb their ramp !

My girls aren't quite egg-laying age yet, but I'm a bit worried because they have never to my knowledge walked up the ramp to their nesting boxes which are "upstairs" in their coop. Will they figure it out when they need to lay, or what ?
