    Found a stash of eggs

We got three blue copper Marans 3 to 4 weeks ago. They were already laying eggs. We have been getting 2 or 3 eggs a day out the coop but I found a secret stash behind the shed today. There was about a dozen eggs there. How do you know if they are safe to eat?

    What breed is this?

I think this is a Rhode Island Red but I’m not sure.

Ok. That makes sense I didn’t think about it like that. I wish I could make him a perch not in a coop then. Just like what he is doing now on the porch but just not on our porch.

    Help

He is not small. I think it may be a road island red. Something tried to get him at some point because most of his tail feathers are gone.

    Help

My idea was to build a coop for him to perch. So he is safe and also feels safe. But I don’t want to lock him up as he has survived this long on his on. I just want an idea for him to perch somewhere other than the porch.

    Help

We like him. But we don’t want chickens. He actually is getting along great with our dog and cat. He came up by himself and we don’t force him to stay it just seems like he is content. How big of a coop would one rooster need

    Help

So we recently had a rooster randomly started hanging around in our yard and we don’t know where it came from. After about a week or two we got it some food and started putting it out for him. Now it’s been about a month and two nights ago it started roosting on the rocking chair on our porch...
