    Help!!!

I’ve been trying to put neosporin on it since I posted, but she’s gotten worse. I just needed somebody to confirm what I thought, so thank you. So disappointed to come home and see her declining.

    Help!!!

Yeah, whomever is causing this is gone - immediately. Okay, then I will help end her suffering. I didn’t know if there were any other options. She just keep scratching at it.

Wood pellet bedding for 3 week old coturnix quail?

This is what I’m working with. Was going to move some to the bottom now that they are growing. The setup is inside my house - so it sort of smells like, well… yeah. But it’s hot outside during the day and the beginnings of summer heat is upon us.

Wood pellet bedding for 3 week old coturnix quail?

I too am using pine shavings at 3 weeks. Please provide updates with your experience - I’ve been considering what else I can do. I sweep the floor every evening, and by lunch the next day, it’s for nothing.

    Help with Goldens

@muddy75 @Pyxis @FloorCandy I’m curious about these roosters because I also have 7 pharoahs outside in a hutch with my garden and was curious about maybe mating these goldens with the pharoahs. But as far as sexing, I really think I only have 2 hens of the bunch.

    Help with Goldens

Disclaimer: currently have these in a hutch inside - daily highs are in the mid 90s here and rising. This weekend marks three weeks since I hatched these from an order of italian eggs. I have 9 total and need some help in sexing them. I am more familiar with pharoahs and know that the solid...

Black spot on quail quick's beak

I have some italians and manchurians - I don’t know the difference between them - but one has black on the beak and others don’t? I agree with pigmentations, might be something with colors/genes.

    Black egg quail!!

Yes, I actually posted about a weird egg I got and it was this. I think this may be a sign of calcium deficiency? Maybe someone can correct me. What do you feed Almond? I added crushed oyster shells to the dirt/sand mix every week and they seem to do a lot better.

    Quail dieing

You may need to restart your covey - it’s unfortunate and I’m sorry that you’re experiencing this. Might I suggest one of the quickest setups for an aviary is a dog kennel (at least 4’ high), and wrapped in poultry netting. The ratio is even more unfortunate, but it seems that the hens are...

Pipped eggs wont hatch after I openned incubator

I’ve only had one issue with a chick not completely hatching and dying inside the egg after piping and starting to zip, and I’ve been through many many hatches. As an assist, I also keep my incubator in the bathroom and run the shower when I open the incubator. It sounds dumb, but getting the...

    quail run?

Happy Easter!! And the ideal is 1 male to 4-6 hens. What’s your ratio?

    quail run?

I had mine on one side of the house (run = 2’ wide, 6’ long, 4’ high; + hutch = 2’ wide, 4’ long, 2’ high). However, I my jumbos are wild little things that pop up high! So plus the west side of my yard gets more natural breeze (ideal for the summer), so I’m in the process of expanding to a run...
