    First snake!

Thanks for not killing the snake. I'm glad I'm not prone to violence. Otherwise everyone in arms reach that tells me they killed a harmless snake would get a punch in the nose

    STARLINGS, graphic text

Set up a platform feeder with a sturdy backstop on a pole or attach it to a tree. Get some suet cakes and keep the feeder stocked with these. Then get a pellet rifle. Once you start shooting the starling they won't actually come around as much...they learn to be afraid. It will take...

How do you get rid of a Skunk?

The skunks I've encountered were all quite docile. I think they are one of the most docile wild animals. As already suggested move slowly towards the trap keeping the tarp hanging in front of you. Keep an eye on the skunk. It does not want to spray. If it looks like it's getting nervous...

Anyone ever used a Little Giant?

I have one. Don't like it. Low percentage of survival. Humidity difficult to control. Plus when they hatch they get tangled up in the egg turners. And the egg holders easily fall off. I think I'm going to use the heater and egg turner and mount them in a foam cooler That way I can have...

I need a better incubator than the Little Giant Foam style

It's always an ordeal and my percentages is probably less than 50%. The humidity doesn't stay high enough. They poke a hole in the shell and without help hardly any of them would make it out of the shell and sack. I realize part of my problem is I keep my house too cold ...around 60 degrees...

    Who's tired of the killing?

Turned out I didn't have a choice. I thought it was caught in my small traps but the bigger trap broke it's leg. Yes, I agree, Rachel25. Mostly I'd rather loose a chicken. Never expected to catch a fox. And this wasn't my flock chickens. This was my pet I kept at my house...

Neighbors dog messing around my coop

Them marlins are something special....yes? I have a williams peep sight on mine. I like to use 100 grain half jacket bullets with mine, a 30-30. The light loads are fun to shoot and that half jacket bullet seems to explode on impact making it deadly on those pesky coons that attack my chickens.

    Rats digging under coop

Dang, you folks with rats are lucky. Nothing more fun than exterminating rats.....a worthy foe. Those New Zealand rats make big targets. Wish we had some that big here in Kentucky. It'd be hard to miss those. My kill percentage would go way up. We have a couple around our chicken coop...

what kind of snake is this

Such a brutal act and a huge mistake. Something I'd be ashamed to admit. It took many years for that snake to grow that large. And you killed it for no reason. There is no reason to kill any snake. What a disgrace.
