I needed to provide some shade sources so I've planted grasses, sedum, butterfly bush and crepe myrtle so far in the chicken yard, set a ring of bricks closely around the bases and removed the temporary fencing. I'm new to ducks so just learning but thought I'd share what I'm doing to try and make the whole process a bit easier and less costly.
