HELP! Thick saliva like liquid coming out of drake’s nostrils!

He’s been acting completely normal otherwise, there are no weird symptoms he’s had besides this. Exactly as the title says, there’s a weird saliva like liquid coming out of his nostrils. We gave him a sort of bucket of water to try and clear it out, which seemed to have worked momentarily...

Chick hatched with some sort of deformity? (warning: mildly graphic photos)

That’s a good idea! I’ll do this as soon as I can. And he hasn’t gone towards the water or food or anything, but neither have any of the other chicks as they aren’t even 24 hours old yet. So it may be too early to tell if that’s an issue. Thank you for your replies and your ideas! I really...

Chick hatched with some sort of deformity? (warning: mildly graphic photos)

Wow! I had no idea this condition existed. Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention I am going to look into it. And yes, I figured a lot of people here would be asleep right now but figured I’d give it a shot regardless. Hopefully as people wake up I get some more responses. Thank...

Chick hatched with some sort of deformity? (warning: mildly graphic photos)

I think I’m going to try to clean his head up a bit in the morning to see if it helps any, as long as no one gives me the advice not to. And thank you for this! This has been helpful.

Chick hatched with some sort of deformity? (warning: mildly graphic photos)

I haven’t been on this site in a while, but today I had a chick hatch with what appeared to be blood on it’s head, but upon further inspection was much more concerning. This little guy hatched under one of my broody hens. When I picked him up for the first time I’m 99% sure I could recall...

URGET: BROODY CHICKEN GOT OFF OF HATCHING EGGS

My broody hen has 11 eggs, about four of which are pipped. When I went to check on her, for some reason she freaked out and ran off the nest. She went to the main area where all of my chickens eat and drink water and all of that, and I’ve been trying to chase her for at least 30-40 minutes. for...

    Is This Duckling Stuck?

Yes! I ended up realizing it wasn’t going to be able to come out on its own as it had gotten itself pretty stuck, so after a successful and easy assisted hatch the duckling is doing great!

It depends! I have a few that are the sweetest things who will jump on me and let me hold them for as long as I’d like! Yet, I have a few that want nothing to do with me and some sort of in the middle.

    Is This Duckling Stuck?

About 29 hours ago, we noticed the pip in this egg. This morning at around 10 am (it is now 6 pm), we noticed it had started to zip. Ever since maybe one pm the ducklings egg has pretty much looked like this, and it’s been trying to stretch its way out over and over again! But it hasn’t cracked...

    Dead chciks

I don't know much about genetics when it comes to this kind of stuff, so somebody correct me if this doesn’t make much sense, but are all of your eggs that you hatched from the same hen? Have you hatched her eggs before? Maybe she has some sort of genetic problem that caused this too happen?

Opinions on Putting my Ducklings in The Coop Tonight?

My ducklings are about three weeks old at this point, and have a lot of feathers on the breast area and some growing on the wings and tail. I was wondering what your guy’s opinion of putting them in the coop tonight would be? Do you think it’s safe? The overnight low should be about 61 degrees...
