URGET: BROODY CHICKEN GOT OFF OF HATCHING EGGS

My broody hen has 11 eggs, about four of which are pipped. When I went to check on her, for some reason she freaked out and ran off the nest. She went to the main area where all of my chickens eat and drink water and all of that, and I’ve been trying to chase her for at least 30-40 minutes. for maybe 15 of those minutes i had a damp paper towel over the eggs but it dried up. What do I do?? I can’t get her back on the nest and it usually takes her 1-2 hours to finish eating and drinking and walking around when she leaves her nest. I have MAYBE room for a few eggs in my incubator but it’s currently on lockdown. Please help!

Do not chase her. If she has access to the nest site she should return this evening. If she does not, it may be necessary to place the eggs in the incubator.

Leave her alone. Trust the bird. Sometimes my hens take extra long breaks on hot days and the eggs are fine

Did you get her back on the nest? Is it now dark where you live? If so, you should now be able to pick her up and put her back on the eggs. Let us know.
