this sounds like they think you're their mother and for my chicks I played Whitney Houston and they were all silent and fell asleep almost immediately.
Information about me: I had 7 hens now just 6, my welsummer has been broody for over a month, I love my girls, I don't know what else to say about myself.
My hen was only nine months and she was just all of a sudden weak and she has these worm treats she loved and she would do anything for them but that day she didn't want them. Her name was Misty and her symptoms were weakness, ginormous wet poops, and just wasn't the same girl, then the next day...
I don't know when my hen got cross beak but she's already laying now and is 10 months old. She is just the sweetest little girl and she loves cuddling on my should and in my hair.
What I did for my chicks is I just put on some music and it worked! I played mostly Whitney Houston but I also sometimes played some reggae. Taking care of chicks can be stressful sometimes.

So lately my welsummer has gotten broody and she just won't stop! I took away her fake egg but she still was going into the box! She also has been really itchy and we can't find any mites or bugs, and every thing I tried just didn't help, but today I found in her tail feathers this skin covered...
