. They should’ve all been fertilized, the last four that she hatched, were all fertilized. We took the days worth of eggs and set them under her, and we have a rooster that does a very good job at fertilizing. I did not candle them during the process, I did not want to disturb her.

Day 22, eggs are extremely covered with poop and very dirty as mom has been laying on them. Should I be concerned? I tried candling, but I cannot tell much as I am new at this. Also, I don’t see any movement when I set them on a flat surface and I don’t hear anything.

The first 4 pictures are the same bird. Trying to figure out if hen or rooster. We think we heard it cockadoodle. The last we are pretty sure is a rooster but just want confirmation. Also if anyone might know the breed? We are pretty sure they are mixed breed but don’t know what mix.

Update: we moved the Brody box into the barn and put some heat lamps in there and the last two eggs hatched perfectly.

My husband is off work today, we’re going to move them into the barn and put a heat lamp nearby. Hopefully the last two will survive. Well, tell me about what temp it needs to be inside the box.?

There did not seem to be any deformities but it has been on the cooler side. We possibly by granddaughter, I will ask her. I was at work.
