I have Muscovy ducklings, I know they aren’t chickens, and they have leeches in the nose holes! I put salt on them and they shrivelled all the way in their tiny beak holes! I don’t know what to do, I can see them moving in the hole. Poor duckling doesn’t seem to be doing good, it had blood...
That’s funny! I did read about making sure to dry them thoroughly first! And as for the coffee habit I can’t stand the stuff so I don’t think that would be an issue for me! 😂 but I didn’t think about it staining the floor....🤔
I haven’t read that thread? I’ve been looking for posts about it. I’m still navigating this site lol thank you!! We have a local organic coffee shop that gives away used coffee grounds and I was thinking that would be a free way to get some bedding 😂
Thank you! I have polish hens, and two silkies, as I’ve read the polish tend to mature faster than silkies. So I’m pretty positive it was my oldest polish pullet Muffin
She’s a doll 💜

Here is my coop. They can all fit on the roasting bars. And they have a little ladder on the outside to get in, they will jump down but not back in. The windows open.im hoping winter they will start going in there. Should I keep food in there? There’s always water and grit for bedtime...
Hmm I’m trying to figure out how to attach a photo. They were Jsut tiny little things and I’m worried they maybe cat use the little path thing up to the coop?? My polishes can’t see very well 😂 I don’t think parasites or pests or predators actually, it’s all cleaned out and I used DE and they...
Hello :) so I have 6 chickens, one cockerel for sure, 4 hens for sure and one silkie that I don’t know yet 😂. I’ve had all of them since they were days old, and I moved them to the coop and they lived in there but once summer came they all started to roost on a log on the ground and quit going...
my polish chickens seem to have these poops, but not my two silkies with them. They have had these poops most of the summer and seem happy fine. But I still wonder why? Is this normal? THank you!
Hello! I have a few backyard chicks in town. 4 polish and two silkies. They aren’t laying yet, but hopefully soon! I’ve read a lot on here and am happy to be a part of it now!!
