Honestly just enjoy having chickens as pets. I love my birds. Want them to mix well and be happy. I have a separate flock of larger layers but they are a bit much for the little polish at times.
What medium or small breeds are good to mix in with a flock of polish? I'm interested in adding some different breeds to my small flock. Prefer more docile nature as I don't want a lot of head pecking/bullying.
Has anyone got advice for dealing with fowl pox? I've had this problem once before a few months ago and it's now back again! 😕 it's affected two separate pens now, oddly enough only my roosters so far.

Yes I thought I picked the Sussex chicks lol but now I'm looking up barnevelder it seems to fit! Looks like i have two pullets and one roo. They do look pretty spectacular in the pictures I've seen. Plus all 3 chicks are very sweet and frendly so I'm still happy.
Thank you that link is a big help. I currently have chicks just about ready to go to an outside pen, I'm hoping in a couple months they won't pick it up from the environment once introduced to the big chicken coop.
