Shes only been laying for a few weeks, shes had 1 day without laying and 1 day with a regular egg but every single other day shes pushed me out a double yolker. Poor girls body must be working over time.

I have a Hyline Hen that has just started laying, her first 2 eggs were Large with a wight speckle...her 3rd however was MUCH smaller and was a slightly darker colour. Is a variance like that quite common or should i investigate?

Sorry about the compost ring lol, it must be a local name for it. its essentially just a little scratch around plastic ring for food scraps that eventually becomes a little compost pile due the hens eating and digging etc (see pic)
