Hello,
I know this is a long shot but we are being evicted and we don't have anywhere to go. We need land to park campers and put a chicken coop/ catio on for a month or 2. I have 5 teenagers some are going to stay with friends, some are staying with us. We will pay to rent the land and will...
I just wanted to update. He walks and runs just fine now :) he must have just built up those muscles! 🦵he's a strong boy now xoxo
Thank you for helping this worried mama!
So I looked up some other threads just using keywords and discovered that his preening gland was clogged. I tried to expell it but nothing was coming out. There was a larger lump under it. I gently massaged it, at first he was not impressed! But them he calmed down as I was massaging it. After a...
We have a farm vet but he is an avian and pet vet. He is retired but is training 5 vets to do what he does lol. He is an amazing man and we are so lucky to have him. But not for much longer unfortunately. He must have had quite the career though! ❤️
Called the vet and thier whole system is down. So they can't access the email with the pics, or see the notes from yesterday. They are going to call back when It’s up again. Ugh... I'm just glad they are so quick with everything usually.

I thought he has molted, but then he is my first experience with chickens (and my other rooster and 2 hens).
We...
Hi there,
I have added many pictures, hopefully they load in order. The dry ones are before I treated with Aquaphor, the middle were last night (after one treatment), the ones starting at the bare bottom through the end were this morning.
I have had my boy at the vet many times for issues with...
His left leg has always had a bow legged look and caused him pain. Then I discovered bumblefoot on the left foot, I've treated that over and over, finally fingers crossed that is gone now. But I don't like the look of his knees now.
Aawww I just pictured how upset they must have been before coming to you. My boy Roo still has a hard lump in his foot but no blackened scab, and I've been treating it with topical antibacterial ointment that my amazing pharmacist gave me, he delivers our meds so he's met my chickens and is so...
You sounds like a fantastic chicken mama! I have been dealing with bumblefoot on my big guy for months. Those poor babies to all come with it. So glad they went to you and got all fixed up :) I'm a newbie lol I got our chickens April 1st unexpectedly and I tell ya I have never researched poop so...
