Thank you! It seems like the answer to most questions is to just keep them fed and love them and then leave them alone. Amazing how much they just figure out on their own. We came home just now and 7 of the 8 were under the heat plate. One was out and looking grumpy but maybe that’s the lookout.

I am interested in the results as well and willing to chip in for the costs. While I would be intrested in herbicide content, its going to be organic feed for our flock so I am not so concerned with that personally.

Yeah Cackle makes you agree to it, they say you get lucky if your chicks survive without it. Some other hatcheries do not make as big of a deal out of it, but I definitely want to shoot for 100% survival rate. Ill have to sleep in the basement with the chicks to feel comfortable with the heat...
