Duck can't get the egg out...

I am willing to give whatever she needs to be happy and healthy so I guess she is just a little more high maintenance but I might try the crushed egg shells.

Help. I need advice about my female duck.

Bring back this old topic but I am torn between this (eversion) and egg bound for my female duck right now. I know there is something in the Storey's Guide to Raising Ducks about the eversion but I don't have that book with me. How can I cure it if it is eversion instead of being egg-bound???

Duck can't get the egg out...

Is it safe to handle her I do not want to break the egg inside of her if that is the problem. She is drinking and has a small amount of dischage in that area but I have not seen any waste come out of her and she eats little. She was just born last summer so this is her first laying season that...

    Gray Call Ducks

Quote: Ducks can sort of go though menopause - the hormones change, they'll stop laying eggs, and sometimes they'll develop full-on male plumage, drake curl and all. But, they're still female. That has to be it! Thanks!

    Gray Call Ducks

She doesn't really have a ring around her neck and just recently she has been getting those green feathers and it also depends when the light hits them.

What's the deal with white feathers on a black Muscovy duck?

I knew there was a thread about this alittle while ago but I could not find it. For showing purposes is it acceptable for a black muscovy to have white feathers on it?

    Weird Hawk Behavior...

I have had hawks pick up my duck but thankfully drop them them back down (in the water) the two recovered and are perfectly fine. At the begining of this year I strung fishing line over my pond in every direction about 10 feet over the water. I believe that it keeps the hawks away because they...
