well grew some fodder, they slowly eat it but I guess that's fair enough with there being plenty of grass around.
Gonna make the coop more stationary for now, need to go get some more cattle fence panels this weekend (wish i had time today, was like 72 most the day)
still got my roosters if...
wish i had time to do that, ended up jury rigged 2x4s and bolts into the base of the coop so I could attach a hitch coupler on it so now i can tow it around easier with my tractor and then replaced my roll of fencing with hog panels cause i was tired of it wanting to curl up all the time lol...
I've seen some people mention getting barley for pretty cheap at feed stores so I figured I would see if anyone know of any local ones that sell it. But the online site sells it for 22 rest being shipping so probably a best option unless someone knows a place lol...
anyone know any good fodder seed (mainly was looking for barley) sellers in southeast area? Been a pain to find anything, best online I've seen is about $50 for 50# bag including shipping
Just barely huh? lol
barely stepped outside and started sweating all over, and of course had to go get hot panel today. Me and Summer heat don't get along as it is, moreso when it's humid too lol.
yeah got plenty of bats, though that's probably cause the house is like 80 years old lol. But I always see them in the almost dark leaving the house, still not sure where they get in or out of the house
didnt have a post set up for them before, but got one now for the 3 roos I need to rehome if anyone needs a rooster :)

Yup did it a few days ago :D
Just realized took a pic of a hen instead of the 2nd dark brahma but they look the same just ones a tad smaller than this one :)
I currently have 3 Brahma Roosters (2 dark 1 buff) that I am looking to rehome from my group that are going on 15 weeks old. They have been pretty good around each other except the dark ones kinda worked together keeping the buff one at the bottom of the pecking order, pecking his rear big...
howdy all, figured I should stop by and post in here lol, also to mention I got 3 brahma roosters (2 dark 1 buff), little over 3 months old, in my batch of chickens I am going to have to rehome since I can't have any in my area (around the 48390 zip) if anyone is interested in 1 or all :)
Shew, been a bit busy but got some more airflow (pic of one attached) doing the cut square with hardware cloth and a price of wood to prop it open
Speaking of cutting squares anyone have a easier way of doing it, tried a Dremel but didn't work well, did a jigsaw but for the life of me it had a...
Yeah you're right lol, I had seen some with the round holes, I might do like the pic on the long sides toward the top. Just paranoid about it being too much when it's cold lol.
I'll do some measurements here soon, and yeah they will be free range, I gotta roll of fencing and some step on posts...
I will be adding more vents (in my 4th to last pic of the clean inside you can kinda see them sitting in the top right), I normal have the window open and the top of the Dutch door open.
I have a 3.15"/80mm hole saw I was thinking of just doing a number of those with hardware cloth, keeping the...
And why having an actual (blueprint) plan is a good idea, cause I didn't lol
My original idea was I knew I wanted it 8 foot long (bottom 4x4s) but finally figured 6 foot wide.... + the 2x4s running on the outside of the vertical 4x4s
buddy works at a hospital equipment delivery place so he had...
oh im planning on using them for eggs, my neighbors were the ones who raise some meat birds besides their egg birds (they take them in to get processed) :)
thanks for the welcome all :)
