It does sound a little like a scam. The part about bullying you into paying via donate seems a bit off. Have you asked to look at their birds in real life or is it all digital? It's possible that they don't even rear birds and are just planning to take your money and run. Correct me if I'm wrong...

Wow...how did you read my mind. I thought it was too morbid so I didn't say it but when I first stumbled upon them like that, I was absolutely horrified and shocked because I thought they had just died on me.

This is a more recent picture of them where the one with the black feet (on the left) has started developing a more distinct head pattern. It looks a little like a broken diamond! I wonder if the lines will eventually join together...
I thought Tibetans are supposed to be solid colored. This chick has the kind of stripey pattern that I see in pictures of pharaoh chicks.
Would having that pattern disqualify the chick from being a Tibetan, or is it another variation that can happen?
