Are these Roosters, almost 4 months old?

Hi, I have several birds we got from the hatchery that were supposed to be hens... but I'm questioning if they are Roosters. One is supposed to be a Buff Orpington another a Maran, and the other a Sapphire gem (don't even know what that is 😅). I'm supposed to be giving away my Roosters...

Rooster pecking chicks in coop so he's sleeping in the open coop area. Is this okay?

Thank you for the feedback. We're going to add ventilation and my husband is going to change the pvc pipe size to 1.5 inches as suggested. Thank you all for the feedback! These are the first birds we've had that don't want to roost during the day or up high at night. The rooster is the only...

Rooster pecking chicks in coop so he's sleeping in the open coop area. Is this okay?

I fixed it, I'm in Eastern North Carolina. The PVC pipe structure is a roosting bar, shaped like a box. The bottom part is covered up with bedding to keep the poop off. That's what they roost on. I'm aware the coop isn't big enough for 16 birds, we're keeping Roo, it was built for 5 birds...

Rooster pecking chicks in coop so he's sleeping in the open coop area. Is this okay?

We have this on the other side to vent it out. I clean the inside of the enclosured area each couple days and leave the main door open...I just ain't leaving it fully open now because we have (11) one week old chicks that need to be warm at night. During the day, the hatch door is open. Is...

Rooster pecking chicks in coop so he's sleeping in the open coop area. Is this okay?

My barred rock rooster, 7 months old, has pecked the new babies (1 week old) pretty hard a couple times. He only does it at night when they are in the enclosed coop for the night. The mama hen and babies stay in the raised enclosed part as she chose that place to stay for the nesting box. He...

New chick has feathers missing/cut on back acting normal

Thank you. I was able to get my hen to accept all 4 of the remaining chick's by taking the eggs and putting the 4 remaining chicks under her about 1.5 hours before sunrise. She accepted all 7 chick's!!

New chick has feathers missing/cut on back acting normal

1-3 day old chick from hatchery, has not been put with my broody hen yet... waiting until early morning around 5 am. Been accepted 3 today, putting last 4 in with her tomorrow morning. 4 are in a box with a heat lamp. Chick is acting normal, eating, drinking, sleeping normal. Only noticed...

Hen behaving strangely towards momma hen with new chicks (video)

We have 4 black Astrolorp hens and a Barred Rock rooster. One went broody and has 10 eggs she's trying to hatch. First chick was born Wednesday night and the second this morning around 7:45 am. One of the other hens is making a weird noise, waking around the coop and in/out the nesting box...

Rooster has loose mucus poops with barking/ sneezing on occasion.

My friend doesn't have chickens... just dogs and hamsters. I may just take him to the avian vet.

Rooster has loose mucus poops with barking/ sneezing on occasion.

What did you do to help them get better? I just went out to give them ice water and the hens keep sneezing now.

Rooster has loose mucus poops with barking/ sneezing on occasion.

He's on Nutrena pellets for layers with the girls and I give them all dehydrated soldier fly larvae as treats sometimes. They eat bugs and grass...I haven't fed them any scraps. The hatchery we got them from says they are vaccinated but I haven't wormed them. I just noticed that the hens are...

Rooster has loose mucus poops with barking/ sneezing on occasion.

We went camping and had neighbors tend to our chickens with water and feed. They were let out at 8:30 am to free range until dark daily. I noticed this morning, first day back, my rooster is making a bark/ sneeze noise on occasion and has this stringy looking loose poop. The 3 pictures...
