Might adopt if this is a pullet, please help ID

Thanks for all your help! We missed out on her, but brought home a lovely Red Star today to join the flock. And she’s already laying, so we know For Sure we don’t have another rooster! 😜

Might adopt if this is a pullet, please help ID

Looking for you wonderful breed and gender experts again… both are unknowns for this juvenile at the humane society. Since we are sadly surrendering our cockerel, we’re looking to maybe adopt this replacement for our flock. Any way to know breed/sex on this chick? Thanks in advance!

Ok, this makes me sad, but we will look into how we can get him transferred to another home. Lots of places around here outside the no-rooster zone. I might post pics of the other "hens" tomorrow just to verify with y'all that we don't have any more boys lurking in the mix. I am...

Thank you, yes, both breed and gender. This lovely was sold to us in March as a newborn Sapphire Gem hen, but we are having serious suspicions because of the tail feathers, crowing, and aggressive behavior. Hi! We're brand new to chicken raising (got our first four in March 2023) and are looking forward to learning more and more! We are aware of chicken math, so we started with four, with a plan to get a couple more in a couple of years, and so on. We are raising them for eggs and as pets, no meat...
