Well I took off the shell and the rest of the membrane was totally wet except the part that she was struggling. I did not open the membrane but when I touched her head she was cold. I think she is dead. I feel really sad about it. 😓
So do you think the humidity was the reason?
Im not sure If I can do it. This is my second loss. Last week a three day old baby duck jumped out of her box and I looked for her almost an hour and I didnt find her. The day after I found her dead. 😓
Well its around 60 BUT I was busy these days and almost forgot to check the humidity. before the hatch it was dropped but I filled the water supply ASAP. Maybe this delay was the reason of her death : ( . and yes there are some waiting.
Well, Last night I noticed a baby duck is hatching and I almost forgot to check it. A few hours ago, I checked out the incubator and noticed that her beak is out but there is no movement. Is she dead?😓
Thanks Lydia. Yes I will. No that part of cage wasn't sharp at all, so I don't think so. It's even harder than an equation for me to figure out how exactly five big ducks got into the cage! I will provide him Epsom salt with warm water. :)
Today when I checked out my ducks I noticed that they have entered into my parrot cage. Imagine 5 ducks in a parrot cage. I helped them out, but there was a huge problem with one of them. A leg of his was stuck between the cage and he was trying to release his feet for a few hours. I felt that...
Got 2 newly hatched ducklings this week.:D Her mother wasnt broody so I transferred the eggs to the incubator. Some issue has been weighing on my mind. Is it even possible to introduce these newly hatched ducklings to their mother in order to make them imprinting on their mother instead of me?
