    My research made me aware that it's too small to keep them in there permanently, but it's not bad to have if I need to do work around the yard, or if I need to go out and feel they haven't eaten enough dinner before putting themselves to bed.

    I got 3 chicks from my son's kindy's hatching program. I did call the franchisee and asked what breeds they were and the only thing I remember is "usually Australorp, ISA Brown..." The black one is easy. Cool. Australorp. But this one is bigger than her sisters and has more prominent comb etc...
