I usually give them all a quick look over every morning and evening. Im the only one who lets them out and puts them away.
Gonna check them tomorrow more thoroughly.
Ty
They are only 8 months old. Pretty sure its my roo. Ill check in the am i know which spot he is roosting in. They are all acting fine. Running around like normal, no pale combs or lethargic.
I dont believe i habe ever wormed them.
I think its time to consider culling him. He has gotten worse, hes been eating and drinking taking extra vitamins but his right side is just getting worse. He is very crooked, neck turned, other wing way up on his back. Hes been loosing balance and flopping on his side and he cant get up.
Just...
They had medicated chick feed and then was switched to an all flock at about 4 months just cause buying 2 different feeds was not something i could swing. They do get sunflower seeds daily in their feed. And we ferment their feed most days.
I have liquid vit b, ill grab some vit e tomorrow...
I will have to post a video when im home from works today.
He seems to have mites on his tail feathers. I dont see them anywhere else on him.
No signs of injury on the wing, no cuts, bruising. No signs of injury on his whole body.
They eat an all flock pellet with sunflower seed and or corn...
Sooooo my bantam roo has multiple issues. But im mainly concerned about his blueing comb and hurt wing.
Saturday i noticed he just looked sad an off, looked him over didnt see anything wrong. So I let them out to free range he ran right along with his litter mates.
The following day he still...
I meant to put this on that other thread....🤦♀️
Lice were treated day 1. Checked her this am again and didnt see any.
It was also suggested on the other thread to give selenium to help absorb the vit b. Was also told this by a vet group im in.
Her crop is emptying. She is eating normal...
why would she have her mouth open like this, i dont see anything in her mouth or throat?
She is still only eating small amounts. Seems more like herself except the eating.
Noticed today her comb is a little pale and dry looking. Worms maybe?
Update.
We stopped the amoxicillin after only 3 doses.
Gave her 2 small doses of selenium and have been giving vit b daily. the head movements stopped, and she is more stable on her feet. She is eating and drinking on her own. Though i noticed she isnt eating a ton and is still very thin...
My hen that is on the mend (i hope, the last few days have been rough). She is eating, alert, head twitch has stopped 90%.
But she has had 2 very unusual (i feel concerning poops). Black, and tar looking. One was this morning (pictured) and one was about an hour ago. All poop in between was...
The head movements are much better, giving her selenium and poultry cell but running out right now for vit b.
She ate on her own today. She is much more alert and standing better.
BUT i woke up to the black poo. Everything im read says internal bleeding?
